Intro

JEG Filters is a specialist in designing custom filters and filter housings for the removal of particulate contaminants from chemicals and coatings in paint. With a focus on delivering efficient and affordable solutions, we collaborate closely with clients to develop filtration solutions for automotive applications, including removing impurities from the paint tank to the paint shop and ensuring high-quality paint finishes.

Pre-Treatment And E-Coat

  • Pre-treatment is the initial step that involves cleaning and preparation of the metal surface, ensuring the removal of contaminants such as oils, dirt, and rust. JEG Depth filters play a crucial role in eliminating contaminants from the cleaning and rinsing solutions, thereby ensuring the metal surface is meticulously prepared for coating.
  • E-coating is a type of electrodeposition coating that uses an electrically charged paint bath to deposit a coating onto the metal surface. The use of JEG filters in this application is crucial for removing impurities and ensuring the paint bath’s consistency and quality. This is essential in achieving a uniform and high-quality coating.

Sealant Paint And Coatings

Coatings serve as a protective barrier, preventing water, dust, and other potentially harmful elements contaminants from entering the car’s body and causing damage to its components. Additionally, sealant paints enhance the vehicle’s overall visual appeal by imparting a glossy finish, elevating its aesthetic appeal.

The application of JEG Filters guarantees the elimination of impurities, ensuring that coatings remain defect-free. Contaminants have the potential to create flaws in the coating, potentially resulting in corrosion and other forms of damage. Utilizing JEG Filters in the coating process also serves to prolong the coating’s lifespan, enhancing its durability and preventing premature failure.

Digital Inks

The filtration process in the manufacturing of inks involves the elimination of impurities, agglomerate, and particles to prevent blockages in print heads and nozzles, minimize operational interruptions, and enhance the quality of the printed images. The choice of filters used during filtration process depends on the type of colour source whether pigment based, dye based, solvent based, or UV based. At JEG, we offer a diverse range of products that cater to various applications and formulations, providing tailored solutions to meet your specific needs.

Pre-Filter

Prefiltration involves removing particles larger than the target size for final filtration, and multiple filtration steps can be implemented to avoid overloading specific stages. Filters can be placed at various points, often at the ingredient introduction stage before final filtration and packaging. This can be achieved using JEG Depth Filter series to trap larger contaminant.

Final Filter

The level of particles reduction and the specific contaminant can be removed can vary significantly depending on the formulation. For pigment- based ink the final filters are used to remove larger particles that can block inkjet ports while allowing smaller particles to disperse evenly in the ink. Meanwhile, Dye based ink focusing on removing undissolved particles and gels to maintain clear printheads and print quality. The product range offered by JEG specially Depth filter series tailored to meet customer needs and enabling them to attain the desired level of quality in their final product.
